THERE CAN NEVER BE ANY RECONCILIATION WITHOUT JUSTICE!

The 16th of December in South Africa is marked as Reconciliation Day,this has been the case since the 1994. The day was previously known as Dingane Day that was pre-1994 it was named after the Zulu King uDingane.

The naming of the day Reconciliation Day is a controversial move especially for those of us the section of society which refuses to take things at face value but analyse things deeply. It is controversial because it is an attempt to coerce the natives (Africans) into some reconciliation with the invaders(Whites) without the invaders having apologized for the atrocities of Colonialism and Apartheid. The White population continue benefiting from the legacy of Colonialism and Apartheid which is a legacy of violent dispossession of the Africans of their land and livestock, a legacy of slavery. I mean Apartheid was declared a crime against humanity for a reason, worse the White community is still refusing to acknowledge that Apartheid was a crime against humanity, this is one of the clear indications that they do not regard Africans as having same status as them, that of being human.

Proper account of history is that the Europeans have no claim to the African land, they invaded and conquered the land through violence and war, infact they committed genocide in their quest for the African land. The first step towards reconciliation should have been that the Whites apologize and acknowledge the crime they committed against the natives(Africans) and then pay reparations and return the stolen land to its rightful owners the Natives. The fact that the land remains in the hands of the Whites has meant that the living conditions of the Africans remain the same as was the case during Colonialism and Apartheid, the material and economic conditions of the Africans have unchanged.

Every official and unofficial statistics released since 1994 points exactly to this reality that majority of the land which is over 80% is still in the hands of the Whites whom are not even 10% of the population, now no sane person can be hammering about reconciliation under such conditions. Just yesterday the 15th December 2023 we were greeted with a heartbreaking story and visuals of the White racists destroying a home of Africans a home they have lived in for over 60 years,it is such acts that continue to expose the "We are Stronger Together " mantra as nothing but A MIND NUMBING HOGWASH MEANT TO SEND US TO SLEEP . The incident I'm referring to is the Prestige Park in Mogale City. Racism is not an individual act but a systematic and grouping issue, this is what gives confidence to the White community to continue to be racist and abuse the Natives, that is because racism is about economic power and structurally not much has been done to address the legacy of Colonialism and Apartheid.

As Natives we should reject this sham of Reconciliation day,it is a lie that is meant to send us to sleep.

We demand reparations and the return of the land to the rightful owners the Africans,it is only then we can talk about reconciliation !!!.
