WHY THE DECISION BY THE MK PARTY TO NOT CONVENE ELECTIVE CONFERENCE IS A BRILLIANT MOVE?https://amzn.to/48EAV5S https://amzn.to/https://amzn.to/4fBNVvj
The UMkhonto WeSizwe Party has announced that it will not convene any elective conference until after the 2029 National and Provincial Elections. The announcement was made at a press briefing in August where the Party was announcing its National leadership known as the High Command, this is a structure which is made of the President, Deputy President,National Chairperson, Deputy National Chairperson, Secretary General, Deputy General Secretary, National Organizer, Treasure General and additional members. The Party has been on the drive to identify and recruit the brains and skills it believes will assist in building the Party. This according the Party is an on-going exercise of identifying and recruiting the best talents into the fold of the UMkhonto WeSizwe Party.
The reason provided by the the Party for this decision it is that they are concerned that the White Monopoly Capital will attempt to use its money power to infiltrate the Party through surrogates.
This concern is a valid one when one looks at how the White Monopoly Capital has been able to capture the progressive political formations, not just the political formations but even the so-called Civil Society formations and the Non-Governmental Organizations have not escaped the capture.
We do not have to look any further than the former liberation movement the African National Congress(ANC) which was captured through money.
The African National Congress Elective Conference held in 2017 in Nasrec is a prime example of how the White Monopoly Capital is able to use money to influence the internal processes of the political parties especially those ones they consider to be key in the struggle for liberation and emancipation of Black people.
The White Monopoly Capital was able to buy itself a president by corrupting the ANC internal election processes as it funded its proxy in the name of Cyril Ramaphosa to contest and eventually win the battle for the ANC's Presidency. This was to ensure that the interests of the White Monopoly Capital are protected at all costs. Cyril Ramaphosa was contesting against Dr Nkosazane Dlamini Zuma who was part of a grouping withing the then governing ANC, this grouping was advocating for the Radical Economic Transformation of the economy to ensure that it reflects the demographics of this country.
The Radical Economic Transformation group was backed by the then ANC and State President Jacob Zuma who for his second term was moving swiftly to transform the economy as it can be seen by his call for all Black parties to unite for the return of the land to the Natives through the Expropriation of Land Without Compensation and the Mining Charter under the leadership of the then minister of Mineral Resources Msebenzi Zwane which was calling for the 30% ownership of the mines to be transferred to the Natives.
It is all of these moves which scared the White Monopoly Capital and it had to run a dirty media campaign tarnishing those who it associated with the Radical Economic Transformation .
This explains why the White Monopoly Capital had to fund its proxy within the ANC to a tune of R1 Billion. The UMkhonto WeSizwe Party has proved to be a formidable force as it secured 2.3 million votes in the 29 May 2024 National and Provincial Elections. The language and program the UMkhonto WeSizwe Party is advancing is seen as a direct threat to the interests of White Monopoly Capital.
This makes the MKP susceptible to infiltration through buying of votes in the elective conferences, the Party has already experienced this through the Jabulani Khumalo saga.
Therefore the decision to not convene any elective conference at this stage is a progressive one.
