MINDLESS ENTERTAINMENT IS A DISTRACTION TO BLACK MEN!

 MINDLESS ENTERTAINMENT IS AS DISTRACTION TO BLACK MAN!.

The mindless and meaningless entertainment has proven to be a serious distraction to Black Men. I am deliberately targeting Black Men because we are the ones always leading in the introduction of this mindless entertainment and end up luring Black Women into this mindless activities we call entertainment. Is it not us Black Man who introduced harmful practices such as the dubious "Mavuso" an act of picking up ladies from the taverns and other places of "entertainment" sleep with them over-night and then offer them money in the morning?.Is it not Black Men who go out into these so-called places of entertainment with a sole purpose of luring women using material things such as cars and alcohol,and worse some target young women,ladies who are young enough to be their daughters?.

This is a phenomenon which we refer to as KONKARING .

The main source and drive behind this behavior by Black Men is the lack or absence of a pro-Black and Afrocentric based ideology governing our daily lives. In the absence of Black Consciousness our society is vulnerable to harmful practices such as the mindless entertainment we are engaging ourselves in. The mindless entertainment is decimating our society further and pushing it into the brink of collapse . The Black Men need to wake up to the huge task he has in building the Black Society and bring respectability to the African race.

Black boys are dying like flies in the votex trapping called the township ,they are dying at the hands of other young boys through the stabbings. Our townships are infested with drugs that are obliterating our African young men and turning them into zombies.Our townships have more taverns than schools and recreational facilities ,this has left young Black Men idling in the townships with nothing much to do to keep themselves occupied with meaningful activities. As Black Men we should be leading in efforts to create conductive environment in the development of young Black Men which will eventually lead to a creation of a healthy society.It is Black Men who stand accused of all sorts of embarrassing abuses perpetrated against Black Women.

We ought to ask ourselves,how are our actions and activities we are involving ourselves in help in the development of our society?.We must stop being indifferent to the suffering of our communities and the decay we are witnessing right in front of our eyes. We need to be positive role models as Black men,we need to provide Black boys with role models they can model their lives into. However,this we cannot be able to execute when we continue occupying ourselves with mindless entertainment which does nothing to advance the development of our communities.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

Now having lamented on what I have identified as a problem,I will then proceed to propose what I believe to be solutions. I want all of us to adopt the attitude which says the one who identifies the problem has a duty to search for solutions.

I propose that we gather together the resources we have been using for the mindless entertainment ,use those resources for the establishment of Social Clubs,Reading Clubs and other positive activities. We need to use out time to pursue the Government officials for the resuscitation of the Sports fields which have  dilapidated beyond any use.

The Black community is our responsibility and it is only us as the Africans who can arrest the decay taking place in our communities
